A tagline will go here.

During my studies at the University of Oregon, my early interest in architecture, art, and design in general evolved to become more of a mission.  The built environment is responsible for roughly 70% of annual US energy consumption for reasons ranging in scale from inefficient building systems to suburban sprawl and the drastic increase of personal transportation associated with it.  My mission is to help make an impact on that percentage.  Through architecture, I have learned I can make an enormous positive impact on global environmental issues, while at the same time helping to create and/or recreate lasting, meaningful places in the world to inhabit.  That is my goal and is what I yearn to do with the knowledge I gain from my education.

I was raised by a very outdoors oriented family and am incredibly grateful for it.  From a young age, my parents planted a seed in me that would grow throughout my childhood into an incredible appreciation for all things natural.  I have been a surfer, skier, and orienteer for as long as I can remember.  Because of this, I feel obligated to do my best to protect and preserve what I can for the environment and it’s interconnected ecologies.  One might ask, why architecture then?  Why design buildings that take up more space on the planet, that use energy and vital resources to build and exist?  I study architecture because I love design and all of it’s creative components.  I study architecture because it speaks to me like the ocean and the mountains spoke to me from a young age.  I study architecture because I believe I can make a difference in the world through the use of sustainable strategies and innovative building technologies.  Sustainable design is becoming my personal focus.  It is my part to a solution of a million parts.
